Founded in 1920, the Slough Trading Estate is one of the largest business parks in Europe, under single ownership,  covering some 200 hectares and housing just over 700,000 square metres of business premises. The estate has a diverse community of over 450 occupants including financial institutions, mobile phone providers, retail outlets and of course the Mars Chocolate factory. They are serviced by a range of facilities including shops, banks, 2 x fitness centres, a post office and even a medical centre.

Slough Trading Estate Business Watch has been operating on the Slough Trading Estate since 1994.

The aims and objectives of the Business Watch scheme are very simple.

“To create and maintain a safe and secure environment for those who work on and visit Slough Trading Estate”

They achieve this by working in partnership with the Thames Valley Police, SEGRO , G4S, and of course the Estate Community to proactively reduce the fear of crime within business and the community as a whole.

Business Watch have a state  of the art Operations Centre which is equipped with the latest CCTV monitoring and recording equipment , and is staffed 24hrs a day, 365 days a year by experienced SIA licenced  operators who have an extensive knowledge of the estate. Also within the Control Room is a direct Airwave radio link to the Police, which is unique for a private Industrial estate in the UK. They also provide an out of hours mobile patrol who provide a highly visible presence on the estate and respond to incidents as and when required.
